Sainsbury's Ansty Park plans receive approval
Sainsbury’s plans to develop new office accommodation at Ansty Park have received planning approval from Rugby Borough Council.

The approval means that the retailer will now be able to progress its plans to develop two new buildings and associated car parking at Ansty Park.

Sainsbury’s has already successfully established Coventry’s Ansty Park as the base for its Product Development Centre, as well as its Property, Telecoms, IT Test Centre, Learning and Development, General Merchandise and Clothing teams.

It is currently home to approximately 900 colleagues, who will eventually be joined by 220 colleagues transferred from Sainsbury’s IT team based in nearby Walsgrave.

Sainsbury’s proposals are for a sustainable landmark office space which complements the existing architecture and integrates with the wider, high-quality Ansty Park setting.

Bruno Moore, Sainsbury’s Head of Town Planning - Supermarkets, said: “We’re very pleased to have received planning approval for our plans at Ansty. The approval means that Sainsbury’s now has the option of accommodating future growth at Ansty Park.”
